Norfolk Port

The Norfolk Port is situated at the entrance to Chesapeake Bay, just a few miles from the open seas of the Atlantic, near the Jameson River. Originally built as a port for exporting tobacco, the Port of Norfolk has made great technological advances to become one of the leading seasonal starting points for vacationers to Bermuda, the Bahamas, Canada and the Caribbean. Cruise ships at Norfolk Port sail along the Elizabeth River and dock right at the Nauticus, the National Maritime Center.

Housing a number of museums, Norfolk Port specializes in handling from tugboats to 58,000-ton battleship. Perhaps this is the reason that the US Navy has duly recognized Norfolk Port's potential. Norfolk Port is brilliantly operated and maintained by Norfolk Port Authority. Recently the Joint Standing Committee on the National Capital along with the External Territories Report released a series of recommendations for the Port of Norfolk.

Norfolk Port is just 30 minutes away from Newport News Airport and 15 minutes away from Norfolk International Airport. Charging $10 per day, the guest parking available at Port Norfolk is a safe platform to park you vehicle while you enjoy a ride on the cruise at Norfolk Port. There are plenty of hotels to choose from to have a great stay at Norfolk before heading for your cruise ride.

Cruise Rider features international cruise lines that offer world cruises and global cruises. Choose from the wide range of cruise styles including the ones touching Norfolk Port.
